David Astbury

As a three-time AFL premiership player for the Richmond Football Club, David Astbury is now sharing his experience as a protégé of Emma Murray’s High Performance Mindfulness practice beyond the football field.

Having endured countless injuries throughout his 12 year career as a key defender for the club, David immersed himself in Emma’s work which he believes was pivotal in enabling him to achieve his success – including the prestigious peer-voted Francis Bourke Award and ultimate grand final glory.

Since retirement David has gone on to become a qualified Neuro Linguistics Program (NLP) practitioner and is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Swinburne University. Dave is known as a competitive beast and is universally admired for his resilience, drive and positive influence on his team. His ability to connect with people and share his own learning and journey with High Performance Mindfulness makes him a compelling facilitator of this practice.

As an HPM facilitator, Cate now shares how the tools she learn from High Performance Mindfulness to manage her mindset when under the pressure and demands of elite competition are now proving just as valuable in the corporate world.
